  • caroline meadows
Caroline represents a handful of Atlanta-based furniture designers and promotes them to her interior design network in Chicago. The designers are all different, but have one trend in common: they update traditional, classic forms with modern, edgy themes. So we built her identity around the concept of contrast.

  • orange street
BIGfish Communications brought me on board to collaborate on a special design project for our friends Orange Street Design Studio. They asked that I create a feminine yet anti-”Debbi decorator” visual language to speak to their personality as a team and their versatility as designers.

Inspired by the work of silversmith Miranda Meilleur, we designed the OS monogram. Then we rotated it and paired it with a strong, solid logotype. Read more about the process, including feedback from Orange Street clients, on their blog: http://tinyurl.com/3r9czjl. Photography by Eric Roth (ericrothphoto.com).

  • gordon's wine
For over 75 years and four generations, Gordon's has been the leading purveyor of fine wines, spirits and now, craft beer, in New England. But when they came to BIGfish in 2006, their brand wasn't representative of the company's expertise. Gordon's wanted a face lift in order to match their reputation as a high-end wine distributor, and to launch their newly added Wine & Culinary Center.

Website design by BIGfish, identity design by me.

  • lone oak
Lone Oak Consulting, LLC is a one-woman shop in Nashville, Tennessee. Her role as a business consultant is to assess problems within a company and suggest solutions for improvement.

Since her clients come to her in a state of distress and need to share confidential information with her, they have to trust her enough to "sort of open their kimonos," in her words, "because hiring a consultant means admitting failure." We developed a friendly identity and a tagline to support that idea. "Gain a fresh perspective" lightens the mood to help clients feel comfortable asking Lone Oak for help.

The green "k" relates to the client's first initial (we got lucky on that), to conceptually reinforce that she's a solo consultant.
